The Annabel Croft Tennis Academy was the first tennis academy to take up residence at the National Tennis Centre (NTC) in Roehampton in 2009. The academy is now the largest tennis operator in residence at the centre with over 400 regular players attending our classes each week.
The tennis facility is the home of British Tennis and the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) and is the premier tennis centre in the country. It offers players and parents state of the art tennis facilities both indoors and outdoors which regularly play host to training camps and competitions for the elite tennis players in the country including players such as Andy Murray, Kyle Edmund, Jo Konta, Heather Watson, the British Davis Cup team and the British Fed Cup team.
Players participating in the Annabel Croft Tennis Academy will be largely based on the acrylic courts, as well as using the indoor courts where available. Parents can watch classes from well-appointed viewing areas and have access to the excellent Deuce Café for refreshments on weekday evenings and weekends.
The NTC offers ample parking (although this can busy at peak times) and is a completely gated facility with comprehensive security measures – all adults are asked to sign in on arrival – giving parents a safe environment in which to bring their children to tennis classes.

The tennis programme run by ACTA is one of the largest in the area and offers opportunities for players of all ages and standards to learn and improve their skills on court. The programme runs from Monday to Sunday for at least 36 weeks of the year, tracking the term dates of the majority of local schools. The week offers regular coaching classes for all standards and age groups throughout the week and on Sundays. Saturdays is dedicated to match play classes for our players.

Performance tennis is scheduled at the NTC from Monday to Thursday and is generally held on the NTC’s indoor tennis courts. Classes run from 6pm-9pm throughout the week depending on a players age and standard.
The Annabel Croft Tennis Academy at the NTC features a large and highly experienced coaching team that have been chosen to cover the range of ages and abilities that the programme covers. The coaching team is headed by Annabel Croft.
Further details of all our academy coaches can be found below. The academy has a policy of only hiring UK accredited tennis coaches to be part of the NTC team. In order to achieve this, coaches must be at least a level 3 coach (there are 5 levels) and must undertake training and development on an annual basis to keep up to speed with the changing nature of tennis in the UK. They must also hold a current DBS certificate, safeguarding and first aid training as well as relevant insurance.
